Episode 32: Mark Saul and Sean Kearney

Mark Saul and Sean KearneyActor/writer/musician Mark Saul (Grey's Anatomy, The Social Network) and video game designer/writer/podcast host Sean Kearney join the special Halloween episode of The Fort Podcast to talk about how Mark's dad killed his pet rat, Mike's hampster named Dostoevsky, the sadness of "Toy Story 3," what it was like for The Fort to be part of the Earworlf challenge and Mike's dissatisfaction of horror movies featuring fish. Mark has had a recurring role on "Grey's Anatomy" and has appeared in the feature film "The Social Network." He has had numerous television appearances including "Desperate Houswives," "Parks and Recreation" and "Rules of Engagement." You can check out Mark in the upcoming films "Renee," Freaky Deaky" and "Red Line." Sean is a talented sketch writer, video game designer and improviser in Los Angeles. Sean and Mike co-host the long-running Second Column Podcast which is approaching 200 episodes and has featured guests including Matt Walsh, Jen Kirkman and Eddie Peppitone. Sean also appears with Ed and Mike in the long-running improv group Pangea. Sean and Mark created the sketch group Rat Pageant which currently performs hilarious comedy shows in Los Angeles. Their next show is at the Improv Olympic at 8pm on Saturday October 22. Mark and Sean are also founding members of the rock band "The Flashcards." DC is a regular on NBC's "Community." He starred in the films "Mystery Team" and "Cherry," both available for streaming on netflix and in video stores everywhere. Episode 27: Days of Punk and Glory

Joe SibComedian/frontman/record label owner Joe Sib joins The Fort Podcast to talk about the art of whistling, couples fighting at Ikea, Santa Cruz, surf and skater culture, the Punk Rock scene, playing a show in front of Joey Ramone, hanging out with Johnny Ramone, playing a show in front of skinheads in San Fransico and the spirit of radio. Joe has been involved in the Punk Rock scene since he was 14 years old. Growing up in San Jose in the early 1980's, Sib was lucky to be a part of an early DIY scene that was home to great bands like The Faction, Los Olvidados, Social Unrest, Executioner, Crucifix, Code Of Honor and many more. He started his first band at 16 and went on his first tour at 18 opening for The Circle Jerks and 7Seconds. In 1990 Joe started a band called WAX and he spent 6 years touring and recording with them. Sib, along with partner Bill Armstrong, created SideOneDummy Records, home to such bands as: Flogging Molly, MXPX, The Suicide Machines, The Casualties, Go Betty Go, The Briggs, Bedouin Soundclash, The Dan Band, 7Seconds, Kill Your Idols and VCR. You can also hear Joe on his weekly FM radio show, "Complete Control Radio" on 98.7 FM in Los Angeles every Saturday night from 10 PM to 12 AM. Joe can be seen performing stand-up around the country and will be performing his one man show "California Calling" on May 25th at the Comedy Store main room in Hollywood California. This epsiode was taped in front of a live, theater audience in Santa Monica, California on March 15th, 2011. The sound effects for the radio sketches were performed by Kevin, Ed and Mike using various household items.
